Notes

Farnam gives his DOB as 1846, which is the year in which he was baptised at ZLL. However, the parish Register and the 1881 Census agree that he was born 1841. Also, Farnam's dates of birth for his children are highly suspect for two reasons. First, they are off by about 4 years from the dates in the 1881 Census; and second, at least two of the children show up in the 1881 Census are said by Farnam to have been born in 1882 and 1883.
