• Notes

  It is possible that Nicholas 1770 is the husband of Catherine STRUM since his brother married her sister, but it appears highly unlikely. We know from Canon Harris that Mary Margaret EMENEAU m. Nicholas 1768, and we also know that Catherine (STRUM) EISENHAUER d. 1833 and was buried in the Old French Cemetery, Lunenburg from the Dutch Reformed Church. So it appears highly likely that the Nicholas who d. 1826 and is also buried from the Dutch Reformed Church is her husband. From his age at death, 59 years, and beCAUSe he cannot be Nicholas 1768, this makes him Nicholas 1766.
