  In the 1901 Census, she is Edna DARES and has a sister named Edith DARES. However, in 1911, there is no sign of sistyer Edith, and she taken the name Edith. When she marries, she is Edith MYRTLE. My guess is that her oldest sister--Edith--has died, and she has adopted the name.
