Notes - In 1825, an Amelia SARTY is born to a James Frederick and Frederica SARTY according to the DRL register, and she later marries Frederick ZWICKER. But there is no record of a marriage of a James Fred SARTY to a Frederica. And to complicate matters further, her marker at Lone Pine cemetery states that she is the d/o Fred and Louisa. She cannot be the d/o James Fred and Cath Louisa (SCHRAM) SARTY since Louisa is much too old to have a daughter born 1825, there seem to be only three possibilities:
a. She is d/o James Fred b. 1776, either by Frances TURNER or an unknown second wife; Frances would be 46 in 1825 and her last known child is b. 1816.
b. She is d/o James Fred b. 03 Sep 1797. But he is from Martin's River, has no known wife, and she is married at Camperdown which seems to place her in the Jean Urbain SARTY line. So he seems all but ruled out.
c. She is the d/o James Fred b. 03 Dec 1797 and h/o Mary Jane SMITH, whom he marries in 1833. But this James Fred and wife Mary Jane live in the Upper LaHave-Northfield area, not the Camperdown-Lapland area.
It is known that she married at Camperdown and so she probably lives in the Camperdown area before that time. In the 1838 Census, the only household in that area with a female under 14 is that of Philip SARTY, s/o James Fred and Frances (Turner) SARTY, which would point to choice a.
So pending further discoveries, my best guess is that:
a. Choice a. above is the correct one; and
b. While it is possible that she was the daughter of someone named Frecerica, my suspicion is that “Frederica” is just a badly written Francis.
