Norman K. HUBLEY
1891 - 1912 (20 years)-
Name Norman K. HUBLEY Birth 28 Dec 1891 Pleasantville, Lunenburg, NS [1, 2] Gender Male Death 5 Oct 1912 NS [3, 4] Cause: Suicide (gunshot) - His residence at death is listed as LaHave he has a Halifax County death record and it states that he was buried at Oyster Pond; however, this may be explained by his occupation--Sea Captain. His age at death is given as 21, which jibes with his 1901 Census entry.
What does not compute is that he appears on his parents' marker in the Pleasantville (Old) Cemetery with dates 1889 - 1910. One can only guess that this was in the nature of a memorial and was inscribed by someone who did not know his exact vitals. There does not appear to be a marker for him in any of the three Oyster Pond Cemeteries, so it is also possible that he was reburied at Pleasantville.
