Notes - When Leander SLAUENWHITE deserted her in the mid-1890's, he stated that he was going to the US and not coming back. So, she went to live with Frederick Ebenezer CONRAD, who lived next door, and in 1900, after declaring herself to be a widow, she married him. Shortly afterwards, Leander reappeared; but seeing that she had remarried, he went back to Maine.
