Notes - The parents of the George HARTLEN who m. Mary Jane WARNER are a mystery. The only clue is that, in the 1871 Census, a William HARTLING, age 58, resides in the household of George and Mary Jane, making one suspect that he is George's father. After much research, it seem to me that:
a. The William in the 1871 Census is almost surely John William HIRTLE 1811, s/o Christian and Catherina Barbara (EISENAHUER) HIRTLE; and
b. Given that, I think that George HENRY is almost surely a grandson of Christian and Catherina Barbara; and
c. Given that, when one looks at the children of Chirstian and Catherina Barbara known to have survived to adulthood, the most likely to be the parent of George Henry is said John William
d. If he is, whether or not his mother was Hannah JOLLIMORE is another question entirely and my guess is No.
So pending discovery of more substantial evidence, John William will be carried here as the father of George HENRY.
