• Notes

  The identity of the Sarah CORKUM who m. Thomas Peter JOUDREY is a puzzle (at least to me). She was probably born in the 1820's and seems to have lived at Big Lots. Some have placed her as Sarah CORKUM 1823, but she is believed to have married Levi WAMBACK in 1851 and it is known that Thomas JOUDREY remarries in 1864 and does not die until 1895; so she seems ruled out. Others have placed her as d/o John and Maria Elizabeth (LOWE) CORKUM, but I can find no evidence to support that. Since, for my purposes, she must be carried somewhere, she is carried here [but with little or no enthusiasm].
