Notes - The parents of John Henry HARNISH, who also seems to appear as James Henry, are not known for certain. But he must be the son of either Edward, John Casper, John Jacob, or John George.
First, we know that he is not the son of Casper as he is not listed in the heirs of John Caspar and Sophia in an 1819 deed. Second, we know from other land records that he is not an heir of Edward. Third, John George is m. 1803 and we know from the recorded birth order of his children that there is no room for another son b. before 1808. That leaves only John Jacob.
Since the only record we have tells us that John Henry was b. abt 1798, there are only three possibilities:
a. He is really the son who is baptized John Michael Conrad HARNISH
b. He, John Michael and John Jacob are triplets
c. He is not born 1798.
I think choice a. is highly unlikely. Also, we know that John Michael and John Jacob were baptised together and there is no mention of John Henry in that record, making choice b. unlikely as well. So, that leaves only choice c., and he will be carried as John Henry, son of John Jacob, b. abt. 1798.
Also, note that daughter Ann Elisa is shown in SPFV register as his ninth child. [Bob H]
