Notes - Her father's 1921 obit states that one of his surviving daughters is Mrs. WILSON of Brighton, MA, and this must be either Isabelle or Martha.. But there are no Mrs. WILSON's of [any part of] Boston in either the 1920 or 1930 US Census who could be either daughter.
On the other hand, one Stella Gertrude (THOMAS) BROOKS, states that she is daughter of Leon A. and Martha E. (VEINOT) THOMAS and was b. 1876 in Bridgewater, NS. Further, Leon THOMAS and Martha VEINOT marry in 1885, which means that Stella must be her daughter by a previous marriage. Martha VEINOT is know to marry Joseph BACKMAN (who then disappears from all records) in 1871, and was born Bridgewater. So my guess is that Stella was born Stella Gertude BACKMAN and her grandfather's obit is in error regarding the WILSON surname.
