Mary Ann MOSHER[1]
1828 - 1911 (72 years)-
Name Mary Ann MOSHER Birth 12 Feb 1828 Musquodoboit Harbour, Halifax, NS [2] - The Feb 1829 DOB given for Mary Eliza in the SPAH Regsiter conficits with the DOB for brother Charles, which is stated as May 1829. Mary Eliza is baptized in Jan 1832, but Charles ( and brother William) are baptized in July 1832, which could mean that Eliza is younger than Charles and William. Now when Charles in 1877 (probably in March), his age is given as 47, which would also place his birth in 1829/1830. Now if Chalres DOB was wrong by one year, there would still be a conflict, but if Mary Eliza was born one year sooner, all conflicts would be resolved. So my best guess is that Mary Eliza was actually born 1828 and that the "9" entry in the SPAH register is actually a malformed "8".

Family Adam BOWSER d. 1862, NS Marriage 7 Nov 1849 Halifax, Halifax, NS [1] - The evidence that she is the wife of Adam BOWSER is somewhat circumstantial. Although her age in various records varies, the DOB shown in the 1901 Census corresponds exactly to her known DOB although It like that in her birth record, appears to be off by one year (see birth notes). Second, Given her age and location, there appear to be no other reasonable candidates.
