    • Some published genealogies have Lucy d/o John C and Louisa (SARTY) VEINOT marrying James FAULKNER. But consider the following.

First, the transcript of David SILVER's marriage to Lucy VEINOT states that she is of Upper LaHave, which makes her Lucy 1822, unless Lucy 1825 is also of Upper LaHave.

Second, at the marriage of James FAULKNER to his Lucy VEINOT, one witness is Nelson VEINOT. If this is Nelson VEINOT, s/o John and Magdalena (HEBB) VEINOT, he would be the brother of the bride if she were Lucy 1825, and that is usually significant. Also, note that in the transcript of James FAULKNER's marriage record, he is said to be of Pleasant River Road.

Third, the transcript of the birth/baptismal record for Nelson VEINOT, s/o John and Magdalena (HEBB) VEINOT, states that john is a farmer of Pleasant River Road. This in turn means that Lucy 1825 is also of Pleasant River Road, not Upper LaHave. And, as noted above, James FAULKNER is of Pleasant River Road as well.

Fourth, every census consistently places the birth of Lucy, wife of David SILVER in 1822/1823 vice 1825. For example, the marker for Lucy, wife of David SILVER states that she d. 6 Mar 1908 aged 85 yrs, 11 mos, which places her birth in Apr 1822. On the other hand, the marker for Lucy, w/o James FAULKNER places her birth on 14 Jan 1824 and every census places her birth bet 1824-1826.

So I believe that it is Lucy 1822 who marries David SILVER.
