  Thanks to research by Wendy Breen and John Cordes, he is known to have existed, emigrated to New Zealand, and raised a family there. He appears in various New Zealand records and gives his parents as William and Charlotte; however, whether or not he is the s/o William is an open question since he seems to have been born 16 months prior to their marriage.
