- The identity of the Henry MOSER who m. Catherine ELizabeth SLAUENWHITE is established by two Lunenburg County Land Deeds, both transcribed by Brenda Maruca.
The first is Lunenburg County Deed v. #6 (1807-1813): Henry Moser and Jacob Moser: Partition written 21 February 1806, registered 2 November 1807: Lunenburg, "Henry Moser and Jacob Moser, yeoman , sons of Jacob Moser, Sr. Of Oakland, whereas our father Jacob Moser, Sr. by his last will and testament gave and devised unto us jointly the following lots of land: 30 acre lot, NW range, Letter A, #51; (2) 1/2 30 acre lots # 6 & 7; 59 3/4 acre Mauger Mill; lots # 8 and 9,,, 60 acres mauger Mill; Henry (takes in the division) : 30 acre lot NW Range #51; also Mauger Mill lots # 8 and 9: Jacob (takes) 30 acre lots 6 and 7 and 59 acres of Mauger Mill land; signed as John Henry Moser and Jacob Moser." This establishes Henry MOSER 1770 as the son of Jacob and Magdalena (FORSTER) MOSHER.
The second is Lunenburg County Deed, v. #9, #268, written 10 November 1828, registered 4 December 1828: "Christopher Moser and others to Valentine Zwicker: Christopher Moser with his wife Margaretta, Henry Moser with the consent of his wife Catherine Elizabeth, and Jacob Moser , yeoman, all of the county of Lunenburg, for 100 lbs from Valentine Zwicker... Northwest Range, 30 acre lot #51, letter A, ...signed by Christopher Moser, Margaretta Moser, Henry Moser, Catherine Elizabeth Moser, Jacob Moser, Catherine Elizabeth Weynacht." The wives were examined separately by John Heckman "came also before me Catherine Elizabeth, wife of Frederick Weynacht and late widow of Henry Moser acknowledged that she relinguished all her right of dower to the within mentioned 30 acre lot of land and premises." This establishes Henry MOSHER 1801 as the son of Henry 1770 and the husband of Catherine Elizabeth SLAUENWHITE.
