• Notes

  There are three Sarah YOUNG's born abt 1826 in Lunenburg County (not counting Sarah b. 1821, who m. Henry VERGE At SMB). I believe that Sarah, d/o Johann Andreas YOUNG m. George SLAUENWHITE, so the question is--who marries Edward BAKER and who marries George MILLER. Sarah b. 17 Jan 1827, d/o George and Sarah (Emeneau) YOUNG is baptised at DRL and the family of George MILLER is known to be Presbyterian. Since it was common for a husband to convert to his wife's religion at marriage (assuming he wasn't already of the same religion), it seems likely that the wife of George MILLER is this Sarah. Reinforcing this notion is that fact that the other seemingly available Sarah, who was b. 18 Jan 1827, appears [from her baptismal sponsors] to be a Tancook Islander, as was Edward BAKER. -----Bob H-----
