Notes - The book Samuel McCORMICK: His Nova Scotia Descendants states that the parents of James William McCORMICK were William McCORMICK and his wife, Eliza BURNHAM of Digby, that after William McCORMICK died, his widow married John George JOUDREY on 17 Oct 1843, and that James William cared for his mother and stepfather in their old age.
However, we also know that, on 17 Oct 1843, John George JOUDREY m. Eliza RANDALL, who appears to have been born 11 Oct 1810, d/o Jacob Jasper and Catherine Ann RANDALL. Also, we know that their first-born son is named Jacob Decker Randall McCORMICK. So either the authors of the book have confused two different Eliza's, or the Eliza RANDALL who m. John George in 1843 was born Eliza BURNHAM and is not the Eliza RANDALL b. 1810.
