Father William BAKER, b. 26 Dec 1801, Lunenburg County, NS d. Yes, date unknown
Mother (--?--) RHUDA Notes - In his notes dated 1898, Edmund Langille asserts that William BAKER married a woman named RUDDER from St. Margaret's Bay and had two children--William and Frederick. It would appear that this is wide of the mark. First, it is known that William marries Anna Catherine JOUDREY and that they have at least nine children, the first five of whom appear to be born at Tancook and the last four of whom are known to be born at SMB. Next, it is known that two of his daughter's marry brothers named RUDER at SMB. And finally, he dioes have a son named William, but this son can be proven to be proven to born at SMB to wife Anna JOUDREY.
So, I have included a wife named RUDER and a son by her named Frederick only beCAUSe Edmund Langille is otherwise quite accurate. However , I have severe misgivings about said RUDER wife and her son Frederick. [Bob H]
