He is also said to have been adopted by a family of that was a neighbor of his natural mother, whose is reported to have been named Beatrice SLAUENWHITE. The Beatrice who fits this description, and does so in every respect, is Beatrice Sophia b. 1890, d/o James Benjamin and Mary Eliza (JOUDREY) SLAUENWHITE. Beatrice Sophia is unmarried in 1911 and is a close neighbor of Alexander SARTY and his wife, Annie Ellen SLAUENWHITE [a first cousin of Beatrice], whom Cecil Leroy names as his parents at marriage.
