  The death certificate for Harry Arnold Hubley states he is the illegitimate son of Margaret HUBLEY (who is b. Sheet Harbour), and the informant for his death is his mother, who is now named Margaret SLAUENWHITE. There are only two known Margaret HUBLEY's who are either married to or have a relationship with, a SLAUENWHITE. The first is the Margaret HUBLEY who has a son by Gary St. Clair SLAUENWHITE. But she can easily be ruled out since Gary St. Clair SLAUENWHITE's father wasn't yet born when Harry Arnold dies. So what we are left with is this: a. Since Harry Arnold is b. 1922, his mother is probably born 1906 or before; certainly she has to be old enough to appear in the 1911 Census, and I believe I can account for every Margaret HUBLEY in that Census. b. Harry's death certificate states that he is illegitimate, that his mother is Margaret HUBLEY, b. Sheet Harbour, that her name is now Margaret SLAUENWHITE and that she now lives in Halifax. c. Margaret Kathleen HUBLEY is b. Sheet Harbour, marries a SLAUENWHITE, and lives in Halifax. There is no other known Margaret Hubley who meets that description, let alone one in the1911 Census.. So I believe that Harry Arnold HUBLEY is the s/o this Margaret HUBLEY. However, this presents several problems--see notes for his mother, Margaret Kathleen HUBLEY. [Bob H]
