  • Notes
    • On 30 Nov 1906, a Ralph William HUBLEY, aged 7 mos, dies in Halifax and the only clues to his identity are his address-37 1/2 Allen Street, and his father's occupation--Clerk.

In the 1907-1908 McAlpine's City Directory for Halifax, the only HUBLEY residing on Allen Street is J. William HUBLEY, a Clerk, who resides at 39 1/2 Allen Street . This appears to be John William HUBLEY, who marries Olive WILLIAMS in Nov 1905. So it would appear most likely that Ralph William is the s/o John William. But there is a problem;John William is married as a Baptist and, in the 1911 Census, he and his wife are Baptist, while the death record for Ralph William states that he is CofE.

My best guess is that the CofE entry is an error and that Ralph is the s/o John William and Olive HUBLEY. [Bob H]
