Notes - The Annapolis Valley WHITMAN's places Annie in the family of Cyril and Rita WHITMAN, as does her "sister" Bessie's obit. However, Annie's obit states that she was the daughter of Ambrose and Alicia WHITMAN. This does not seem credible as first, considering the Sep 1939 DOB of her "brother" Garfield, she would seem to be an extremely tight fit in the birth order of Cyril and Rita; and second, Alicia would have been 50 years of age when Annie was born. Given all of the above, the most likely explanation seems to be that she was the illegitimate daughter of one of the the other children of Ambrose WHITMAN.
