But in 1926, sister Florence applies to register the birth of Minnie Ella ADAMS born 25 May 1881 and it is this date that appears on Minnie's 1929 Death Certificate. It appears highly probable that these are all the same person and the question is--when was she actually born. If she were born in 1881, this would leave a ten-year gap in the birth order. But more importantly, since her birth is registered 46 years after the fact, the 1881 and 1891 Censuses appear more credible. SO it seems most likely that she was actually born 25 May 1871.
