• Notes

  The 1901 and 1911 Censuses consistently give the birth year of Ella, wife of Frederick WYATT, as 1860, while the 1871 and 1881 Censuses place the birth of Ellen, d/o William & Eleanor HUBLEY, in 1853. It is known that Ellen, d/o William and Eleanor marries a man named WYATT, and there is only one known marriage of an Ellen/Ella HUBLEY to a WYATT. Further, the Ella who marries Fred WYATT gives her parents as William & Ellen. So either this is a huge coincidence involving an unknown Ellen/Ella HUBLEY, or her age is wrong in 2 out of 4 Censuses. Since she is an impossible fit in 1860, I choose to believe that she was born in 1853, as indicated in the earlier Censuses, and is Ellen HUBLEY, d/o William & Eleanor. [Bob H]
