  The Hemford Comuntiy Cemetery inscription survey has him as born 25 Dec 19178 and dying 8 Oct 1918. But his birth reecod states that he was born 25 Dec 1918. I doubt that there were two children born on the same date exactly one year apart; so, it would seem the that transcription is in error.
