Notes - Walter PEARSON appears with his family in the 1875 State Census of KS, and his father's 1901 will leaves him the sum of one dollar. However, he is not seen in the 1880 or subsequent censuses. However, in the 1895 censu of St. Paul, MN, a man named George BARTON appears who cannot be found in any previous census. In various documents, he states that he was born 1864 in Canada, and he tells his descendants that he ran away from home as a teenager. Also, per a note received from Jan Weaver in Feb 2017, DNA from his descendants is a match to that of descendants of other children of Elisha and Susan (THOMPSON) PEARSON. Thus the evidence would appear to show that Walter PEARSON and George BARTON are the same person.
