  His obit lists his mother as Gladys JODREY and his grandmother as Lois COTE. However, the obit of Gladys' sister Phyllis (JOUDREY) DAMPIER lists him as a brother and indeed, he was approximately the same age as Phyllis. So it would appear that he was the illegitimate child of Gladys, and that he was raised by his grandmother, who is known to have had a second husband named COTE. Since Lois COTE's first husband didn;t died until ten years after Bruce' birth, he was probably named JOUDREY at birth. His obit lists his mother as Gladys JODREY and his grandmother as Lois COTE. However, the obit of Gladys' sister Phyllis (JOUDREY) DAMPIER lists him as a brother and indeed, he was approximately the same age as Phyllis.
