  The evidence that the wife of Peter JADIS is this Margaret CORKUM is this. First, she gives her parents as Joseph and Elizabeth and his occupation as Framer; this is exactly the formulation in the marriage records of other children in this family. Second, she does not appear with her family in the 1871 Census of New Ross; however, someone who appears to be her shows up as a servant in the 1871 Census of Windsor, Hants. This is fairly weak evidence, but she does not seem to appear in any other Canadian or US Census (or othre document). And third, despite the fact that he is a Baptists, Peter JADIS is married in an Anglican ceremony, which is the religion of this Margaret CORKUM.
