- The family marker at St. James' Anglican Cemetery states that she d. 17 Mar 1878, aged 8 mos. which would place her birth in Jul 1877. However, three differnt sources pinpoint her sister Elizabeth's birth in Sep 1877. So either Elizabeth's or Rhoda's year of birth is incorrect.

- An inscription survey for St. James' Anglican Cemetery, Head of Jeddore contains the following marker inscription:
"Dooks Joseph B. Feb 15, 1911 Age 73 Yrs; Annie His Wife Aug 5, 1904 Age 64 Yrs; Son (Unable To Make Out Name) 6 May 1896 Age 22 Years; Maggie May 1877 Age 3 Years"
If there were a son in this family who was b. 1874 and d. 1896, he should appear with the family in the 1881 and 1891 censuses, but he does not. There are a number of males in other DOOKS families at Jeddore who were born abt. 1874, and there are no male DOOKS children who appear to be institutionalized in either the 1881 or 1891 Census. So perhaps this is a relative, rather than a son.
