  • Notes
    • TB Deaths, P.3, #101 is “Percy Countaway's child died Sep 6, 1905”. In this context, Percy refers to Henry Percy Countaway, and there are two hypotheses for who this entry is:

      1. An anonymous child born about Sep 1905.
      2. Clement Countaway, b. 27 Aug 1904.

Clement, Frederick, and Ellen Maude were born in 1904, 1906, and 1908 respectively, and the dates for Marie, Mary Esther, Michael and Percy [Dickie] are not currently known (at least to me). But since Clement, Frederick and Ellen Maude were recorded at OLMC and the others don't seem to have been (at least before the records get all peculiar, around 1910 or so), the others were probably born later, after the end of the last microfilm reel.

Since Percy and his wife were m. 1903, Clement was probably the first child. If a child were born before Clement or between Clement and Frederick, one would expect to see him/her show up in the OLMC register; but none does. Also, there is a pattern to Clement, Fred, and Ellen; i.e., one birth every two years.

There is no known (to me at least) later record of Clement and so, given everything else, it seems likely that it is him who dies 1905. [Bob H]
