  It is not certain that this Thomas SLAUENWHITE is the husband of Mary Eliza, as the marriage bond of Mary Eliza and Thomas states that he lived in Jeddore. Also, the Nova Scotia Civil Birth Register entry for Sarah Jane SLAWENWHITE names her father as Charles, and the first son of this marriage is named Charles as well. But he is clearly Thomas in the Census and there seems to be no other known Thomas (or Charles) SLAUENWHITE who could be this person. [Bob H]
