  • Notes
    • Halifax 'Herald - The schr. “W.A. Smith” left Terence Bay on 27th ult. to go fishing and has not been heard of since. There is little doubt that she was lost in the great gale of 29th Sept. Among her crew were Warren SMITH, the celebrated oarsman and two of his brothers-in-law. Following were their names: Obed SLAUGHENWHITE, E. SLAUGHENWHITE, Allen SLAUGHENWHITE, John SLAUGHENWHITE, James SLAUGHENWHITE, all of Terrance Bay; Warren SMITH, Sambro; William WHITE, Upper Prospect, Joseph RYAN, Lower Prospect, N.S.
