Notes - On 08 Jan 1930, an Elizabeth Slaunwhite, age 89, relict of Henry Slaunwhite is buried at Mount Olivet and her address is given as 50 Grafton Street. The St. Mary's Cathedral Register states that she was living with her daughter, a Mrs. NOWE.
There are two Henry SLAUENWHITE's who marry Elizabeth's who fit the picture; both are Catholic, are born in the same area, and are roughly the same age given the vagaries of early 1800's records. However, the other Elizabeth [Betsy (Coolen) SLAUNWHITE can be proven not to have a daughter named Mrs. NOWE in 1930, while it is possible that Mrs. Nowe is Alice Maud SLAUNWHTE, d/o this Elizabeth. Also, it would appear that son George Henry SLAUNWHITE is a parishioner of St. Mary's as well.
So, although I do not know who Mrs. NOWE is at the moment, it seems most likely that this is the right Elizabeth. [Bob H]
