    • The following was found in the Tewksbury Almshouse Inmate Case Histories, Vol. 69, 12/1894 to 2/1895, Tewksbury, MA, case 102268:

      Drew, Michael, 53 came there from Haverhill Jan. 22, 1895. 53, born in Halifax, N. S., single, carpenter. To Mass. and Boston in 1875 there 6 months then Roxbury six years, Lynn 1 year, Wakefield 1 year, Ipswich 6 months and to Malden about 1886 to 1891. Paid poll there 4 - 5 times, lived in Maplewood, don't know name of St., worked for Mr. Johnson, boarded with Mr. McDougal. Ancestors never in U. S. Michael and Mary nee McDonald died in Halifax. Sisters Miss Bridget Drew, Miss Kate Drew and Mrs. Margaret Doherty in Halifax. No relatives in U. S. Discharged Feb. 5, 1895. [Source: Shirley Rathbun]
