- The 1901 Census of NS lists a daughter named Lucy, age 7. who does not subsequently appear with Avard and Mary. Since Lucy was born ~7 years before their marriage, it is unclear [at least to me] whose daughter she is. Note that, in the 1910 Census of MA, Mary reports that she has had 2 children, both living.
