• Notes

  In teh Civil birth register, two James A. HUBLEY's appear as being born into this family, on eof 26 Oct 1874 and the othr on 26 Sep 1875. Both are reported by the Rev. Wm. Duff. Ordinarily, one would suspect that the former died and the name was reused, especailly since only one appear in the 1881 Census. However, in the 1901 Census and Archibald HUBLEY appear who is born 26 Oct 1874! This leads me to conclude that the second James A. HUBLEY is another yet duplicate entry for the same person in the ill-fated 1864-1876 NS civil birth register. [Bob H]
