  According to the Inscription Survey of Fairview Cemetery, Edna M. WHITMAN, d/o Burpee S. WHITMAN, d. 18 Dec 1884 at age 3 yrs, 7 mos. But this would place her birth in May 1881, which is impossible since her sister, Nellie Ross WHITMAN, was born 5 July 1881. Since Charles B. Whitman has her d. 16 Dec 1887, it would appear that either the stone was inscribed long after the fact or is somewhat illegible. [Bob H]
