  • Notes
    • Etta HUBLEY's date of birth is unknown, as is her fate. In fact, all that is known of her comes from several lists of the children of Alexander provided by the grandchildren of Alexander. There is some possibility hat she might actually be Alexander's daughter Elizabeth; however, one relative mentions both Elizabeth and Etta as children of Alexander, so the likelihood does not appear high.

One of the lists of the children of Alexander [by Geraldine SARTY] seems to recount only the children of Alexander's first wife--Mary MEISNER, and it includes Etta. Etta also does not appear in any known census, church, or vital record which would also tend to indicate an earlier birth. And, there is no evidence whatsoever to indicate that she belonged to his second wife. So, since some evidence is better than none, she is carried here as a child of Alexander and Mary. [Bob H]
