  He seems to disappear before 1891 and his wife appears as a widow in the 1901 Census. However, there is a James BOUTILIER who dies in 1925, who is about the right age. and whose informant is Mrs. Alvin BOUTILIER. Since this James has a daughter who marries Alvin Uriah BOUTILIER, it raises a question as to whether this James simply deserted his family or whether it is simply a coincidence that the James who d. 1925 has a daughter who marries an Alvin BOUTILIER. Since there does not seem to be another available James BOUTILIER [Source:Brenda Maruca], the most probable explanation is that Susannah is a “geographic” widow. [Bob H]
