Notes - His [delayed] birth registration states that he is the son of Humphrey DELONG and Ethel (WHITE) RAWDING; but this does not seem to be the case as his obit states that he “was cared for from birth and later adopted at age 11 years, by Humphrey Delong and Ethel Rawding”. In the 1921 Census, he appears in the household of Humphrey DELONG along with Humphrey’s son Leonard and Ethel RAWDING (who is listed as a domestic); in that Census record, he is listed as Elton TRIMPER, a lodger. Later, he is listed as a brother in the obits of the children of Wallace and Mabel (FADER) TRIMPER, and one of those children Rosemond (TRIMPER) DELONG ,is listed as a sister in his obit. Finally, note that he was born on 24 May 1918, whereas Wallace and Mabel were married on 18 Mar 1918. So my guess is that he is the biological son of Mabel FADER and probably, but not certainly, Wallace TRIMPER.
