  • Notes
    • Jacob B. Slauenwhite's parents are a mystery. No birth record is known, and the only record of his marriage is found in the ill-fated 1865-1875 Lunenburg County Marriage Register, where no parents are specifically given. The marriage record does mention a New Italy residence, and also a Jacob and Mary Slauenwhite, probably Jacob Frederick and his second wife, Maria Magdalena Young.

His death record names his parents as what appears to be either Jacob or Josiah and Mary Ann (FRANCK) SLAUENWHITE, but no such couple is known to exist. On the other hand, there is a Josiah SLAUENWHITE of the right vintage who is know to be a widower before 1852, and there is a Mary Ann Magdalene FRANCK b. 22 Nov 1832 who would fit.

Since his parents are not know for certain but he must be carried somewhere so as not to be lost, he is placed here with Josiah SLAUENWHITE 1829 as all other choices seem even more conjectural than this.
