  	His Delayed Registration of Birth contains an affadavit from his father stating that he recalls when Gordon was born in 1904. The problem is that the census places his birth a year earlier and that, if he were born 1904, his brother Percy would be born nine months and three days later. Also, at his marriage in Nov 1927, Gordon gives his age as 24. So a 1903 YOB seems more likely to be correct.
