Notes - At marriage, she gives her parents as George and Lydia SMITH; however, she does not appear with the family in either the 1871 or 1881 Census and Lydia would be about 47 when she was born. On the other hand, when she dies, her husband immediately marries another daughter of George and Lydia. At first blush, it would seem that either the census taker overlooked her, she is the illegitimate child of one of George and Lydia's other children, or she was adopted or taken in by George and Lydia. However, in the 1881 Census, there is a Lucretia CAMERON b. 1870 in the household of George and Lydia. So My guess is that Annie SMITH is actually Annie Lucretia CAMERON.
