    Notes
    • Lottie Grace is proven to be the wife of William David COOLEN by the following:

      a. Her father's obit states that he has four, and only four living children. We know from the Census that they are Minnie, Lottie, Hattie, and Ginny (Georgina).

      b. A 1909 Halifax Chronicle article names three of those daughters as the Misses Minnie and Georgie HUBLEY and Mrs George SCRIVEN (who is known to be Hattie).

      c. The parents of the bride--George B. and Isabella (Hume) HUBLEY--are unmistakable in the 1907 record of the marriage of their daughter, Mary Grace, to William David COOLEN; so,it must be daughter Lottie Grace.
