Her obit specifically states that her 100th birthday was on 15 May 1972. On the other hand, the 1901 Census (which has her husband's DOB wrong) says she was born 15 May 1874. So the 15 May day of birth is probably correct. But the Halifax County Birth Register has her brother William as b. 11 May 1872 (he d. 12 Aug 1873), which would make it difficult for her to be born 4 days later. Since her siblings' births are spaced at approximately two year intervals, my best guess is that she was actually born 15 May 1874 as shown in the Census.
