However, the NS Birth Register for 1909 records the birth of one Lorne Reginald HARVEY, b. Sept 11, 1909. s/o Elijah and Carrie M. (ROBINSON) HARVEY. And then, in the 1911 Census, the family of Elijah and Carrie contains son Lorne, but no son named George. So it would appear that this is the same person, whose birth was registered twice, under two different names.
