  In the 1871 Census of Black Point, dwellings #112 through 115 are occupied by James Conrad MASON, Sr. and his children, with one exception--Dwelling #114, which is occupied by Francis MASON, age 31. It can be shown that he is not the son of any of his MASON neighbors and given his age and that there are no other MASON families in close proximity, it seems highly likely that he is a grandson and the inheritor of James Conrad MASON, Jr.'s land. So it seems highly probable that he is the oldest son of James Conrad MASON, Jr.
