• Notes

  The baptismal records for the children of Christopher list their mother in five five different ways--Anna, Anna Catherine, Catherine, M. Catherine, and Margaret, whereas the only know wife of Christopher HAHN is named Apparently names Anna Catherine. So either there are two Christopher HAUGHN's, he marries a Margaret second, or they are all the same person. If the first were true, one would expect to see a conflict in the birth order; but there is none. If the second were true, the children of Margaret/Margaret Catherine would not be interspersed with those of Anna Catherine; but they are. But more importantly, the name which appears on the death certificate of the youngest child, James, is Catherine "Shockburgh".
