| Apparently, her children by Willard FERGUSON went by the name of SLAUNWHITE. The most likely explanation is that they were adopted by Neil SLAUNWHITE after his marriage to Vera. [Bob H] | SLAUENWHITE, Vera Marie (I17756)
| Apparently, his marker at Brookside Cemetery is a memorial as his obit states that he was buried in Werl, Germany. [Bob H] | HUBLEY, Currie Leo (I89463)
| Apparently, Kitty BOUTILIER lived in the home of Jacob and Charlotte (UMLAH) JOHNSON, possibly as a maid, when she had Mary, James, and Eliza. At some point Jacob acknowledged that these children were his and, after Charlotte's death, he married Kitty . So James, Mary, and Eliza are always seen with the JOHNSON surname. Kitty also has George Winter before marrying Jacob; however, although he subsequently lives in Jacob's household, he is never acknowledged by, and so does not appear to be, the biological child of Jacob. [Source: Brenda Maruca] Finally, William BOUTILIER, who appears as Kitty's illegitimate son in the SPFV records, appears to have had a completely different father (who is not named in the baptismal record). [Bob H] | BOUTILIER, Catherine Fanny C' (I55718)

| Arthur Allen SMITH is known to have married Hilda MacKay GILKIE and it it is also known that he was not married to some (perhaps all) of the other women by whom he fathered children. My guess, based on the fact that they seem to have three or four children, is that he may have been married to Vera GRAY as well. What is clear is that he had a number of relationships; but the order in which these relationships occurred is not at all clear (at least to me). [Bob H]. | SMITH, Arthur Allen (I71570)
| At least one living or private individual is linked to this note - Details withheld. | JEWERS, Tena Margaret (I157873)
| Arthur Sawler's "Lifeline" gives the wife of William ZWICKER as Sophia DELOREY, and Vernon Zwciker, s/o William, lists her as his mother at marriage. However, there is no record of a marriage to Sophia DELREY. But William ZWICKER does marry Lavinia DELONG, in 1877, and he is still married to her in the 1911 Census! So I have no idea what is going on here. | ZWICKER, Vernon Willis (I142961)
| Arthur was adpoted by Alexander and Madeline (Whynot) MacLeod. | JOLLIMORE, Arthur Richard (I73065)
| Arthur was killed in WWII in Italy. | BAKER, Arthur (I14742)
| As an adult he lived with, and he is buried with, Natalie SHAW, who never married and who appears in the census his half-sister. However, given that and Margaret (McLEAN) age when he is born, it seems quite possible that he was actually the son of Natalie. | SHAW, Allan Alward (I252114)
| As an adult, he decided to use his father's birth surname. | ANDERSON, Robert Coward (I264687)
| As the obit for her brother, Howard Roy, lists her as Sister Mary Doris, Sisters of Charity, this may not be her actual given name(s). | MONTAGUE, Mary Doris (I119206)
| As the reported dates of birth for James Isaac and Eugene Fred KAULBACH are 7 months apart, one (or both) of these dates would appear to be an error. [Bob H] | KAULBACK, Eugene Fred Alvah (I93125)
| As there is no known death record, she may have been stillborn. | WEARE, Infant (I323474)
| As there were two sons named Adam Haegerich born at approximately the same date, both of whom married and had children during the same time frame, there is little doubt that they were two distinct people. It is possible that they had differing middle names (a practice not uncommon in the family), or that there was a second Georg Haegerich who has yet to be identified. | HAEGERICH, Georg (I154)
| As to whether the wife of George Morton BROWN is Phoebe WAMBOLDT b. 1872 or Effie WAMBOLDT b. 1876 (according the her Application for Delayed Registration of Birth): 1. The 1889 marriage record for George M. BROWN names his wife as "Phebe E. WAMBOLT" age 17, d/o Joseph and Olivia WAMBOLT. 2. If there were a Phebe b. 1872 who d. 1890 [according to one source] and an Effie b. 1876 who m. George BROWN and dies in VT, then both should show up in the1881 census in the family of Joseph WAMBOLDT. But there is only "Phebe" b. 1872 in said census. 3. The "evidence" submitted to support several Application(s) for Delayed Registration of Birth is the George and Effie BROWN family bible which lists their children in the flyleaf. In particular, the application for Percy BROWN states that said family bible records him as being the eighth child. There is a genealogy on Ancestry, placed there by someone who appears to have seen said flyleaf, that lists a first child named Lottie b. 17 Dec 1889, d. Mar 1890, and she is needed in order to count seven children before Percy. So, although I can't otherwise document her, I'm willing to risk my genuine and highly prized Canadian beaver nickel [that's as high as I ever bet], that Lottie did, in fact exist. If that's true, then a wife of George BROWN who was born 1876 would have given birth at age 13. While that's physically possible, I simply don't believe it. 4. There is no sign, in the 1881 through 1901 censuses, of two George BROWN's. So, I cannot believe that the one and only George BROWN married Phebe who d. 1890, and had a child by her sister Effie in 1889. Therefore, to my mind, the only logical conclusion is that Phoebe Evelyn and Effie are the same person and that this person was born 4 Jan 1872 and died 13 Nov 1865. | Family: George Morton BROWN / Phoebe Evelyn WAMBOLDT (F137222)
| As with her sister, there is no apparent explanation as to why she was married to the same man, 4 months apart, in two different states. | MUNROE, Pearl Barbara (I275028)
| As with her sister, there is no apparent explanation as to why she was married to the same man, a year apart, in two different states. | MUNROE, Grace Elaine (I275029)
| As with other birth entries for this family in the Hants County civil register, something seems to be amiss as he and sister Sarah cannot possibly both be born on the dates registered. | DANIELS, Raleigh Bishop (I213162)
| As with other children in this family, it is difficult to trace this person from birth to maturity. The is an Albert SAWLER, b. abt. 1861 who appears in the 1871 Census, and then he seems to become Almon, b. abt 1861 in the 1881 Census. But then, he disappears. However, in 1896, a heretofore unknown son of James and Eliza named John Alfred mysteriously appears and marries Lena Alice ADAMS. Then, in 1901, there appears a mysterious Albert SAWLER, widower, who is clearly the brother of Firman and Freeman SAWLER of this family, but who is born 1864; and John Alfred has disappeared. Further, Lena Alice has disappeared, possibly indicating that she is the wife of this Albert. Although his name and date of birth jumps around, it would seem to me that the simplest explanation of the above is that it is all the same person, carried here as John Albert. Just when he was actually born is not clear, but he is carried as b. 1861 beCAUSe at least the 1871 and 1881 Censuses agree on that date and they are records made closer to his actual birth. Also see notes for Selina Alice ADAMS. [Bob H] | SAWLER, John Albert (I58362)
| As with son Leonard, his parents are not known for certain. The best clues to his identity are his age in the 1871 Census, which matches that of George MOSER, s/o Heinrich and Maria (HIRTLE) MOSER, and his residence, which seems to place him as a descendant of Heinrich. | MOSHER, George Leonard (I154430)
| Assuming Farnam has the marriage date correctly, it is possible that some of the children listed were by a previous marriage. | Family: Richard CARTWRIGHT / Ann Eliza WESTCOTT (F15971)
| Assuming this is the right Pamela, her parents at baptism are given as Peter and Jane BOUTILIER; however, Peter died three years before her birth. Her parents at marriage are given as George and Mary, neither of which is true. And finally, in her obit, her parents are given as Joseph and Martha (Dunsworth) BOUTILIER. In the 1901 Census of Cole Harbour, she appears to be listed as a servant in the household of one George DUNSWORTH, Widower (of Ellen); but in the 1911 Census, she has become his daughter. So it would appear that the George in her marriage record and obit is George DUNSWORTH and that the mother listed is Martha (DEYOUNG) BOUTILIER. [Bob H] | BOUTILIER, Pamela Muriel (I95722)

| At baptism, Benjamin's parents are given and George and Barbara, andome have placed him as s/ John George 1794 and Catherine Barbara (HEISON) EISENHAUER. However, John George wrote a will dated 25 Jun 1836 and probated 5 Mar 1845 wherein he lists his heirs--son Samuel and daughters Mary Ann, Elizabeth, and Eleanor, as well as wife Barbara. We know that Benjamin was very much alive when the will was written and probated, and this would seem to indicate that Benjamin belongs to someone else. There is a Barbary EISENHAUER living with Benjamin and Mary Ann in 1881; but if Mary Ann were Catherine Barbara's daughter, that would explain why she is living there. Also, note that in at least one transcription of the DRL register, at marriage Mary Ann EISENHAUER is said to be of Indian Point, while her husband, Benjamin, is said to be of Oakland. And unless I'm mistaken, Indian Point was the home of John George 1794 and wife Catherine Barbara. Now in the 1871 Census, Benjamin lives next door to John George 1810 [s/o of John George 1776] and wife Anna Barbara (LANTZ) EISENHAUER. And also, when the Mary Ann (LANTZ) EISENHAUER who is wife of John George 1810 dies in 1903, she leaves a will that names her nephew George EISENHAUER, s/o Benjamin [he would be George b. 1853] as one of her heirs. So I think that he is s/o John George 1776 and Ann Barbara (LANTZ) EISENHAUER. I also think that his wife Mary Ann is d/o John George and Catherine Barbara (HEISON) EISENHAUER. | EISENHAUER, Benjamin (I176983)
| At baptism, he is listed as the fourth child. | BOUTILIER, Samuel (I106522)
| At death, her parents are listed as Samuel MacDONALD and Olive MOSER, and she appears with them in the 1881 Census. The problem is that she is born three years before the marriage of Samuel and Olive and, at marriage, her parents are listed as Daniel and Mary Ann (BAKER) CAMERON. Further, Daniel and Mary Ann marry in 1870, and there is a large gap in their birth order between 1873 and 1881. So it might be that this is not simply a mistake in the register. I.e., it seems possible that Mary Ann (BAKER) CAMERON was unable to care for infant daughter Etta, who was then taken in by relatives. This is, of course, pure speculation. | MACDONALD, Etta Jane (I157222)
| At her 1834 marriage to Daniel MOSHER, the witnesses are Jacob MOSHER and Simeon WOLFE, and the latter is most likely her brother. There is only one known Simeon WOLFE, and he is b. 1817, s/o George and Anna Cathereine (SPONAGEL) WOLFE. Goerge and Anna Catherine are Dutch Reformed as, apparently, is Mary WOLFE and they are m. in 1813, which is the correct time frame. So it seems that the most probable parents for Mary are George and Anna. But note that the same Simeon WOLFE is a witness to Daniel MOSHER's second marriage, this time to Maria Anna WOLFE, which gives rise to the notion that she may be Mary's younger sister. Then note that DOB for Maria Anna WOLFE, d/ o George and Anna Catherine WOLFE exactly matuches the DOB on the marker for Maria Anna WOLFE, second wife of Daniel MOSHER. So I believe that Mary WOLFE and Maria Anna WOLFE are sisters. | WOLFE, Mary (I153769)
| At her marriage to Allan Ramsey McDonald, her name is given as Minnie K. (Reardon) Lynch. However, the 1910 Census sates that she has had only one marriage, and I do not know how to explain this contradiction. [Bob H] | LYNCH, (--?--) (I102429)
